Shrina is on the specialist list for Oral Surgery recognised by the General Dental Council and works across London and the South East of England in both NHS and private practice. She graduated from Kings College London Dental Institute in 2009 and undertook roles in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in London and the surrounding counties.
She completed her Specialist Training at Luton and Dunstable NHS Trust and across the Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire network, before commencing a Consultant post at Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust.
Shrina has a keen interest in dental education with a Masters in Health and Medical Education with distinction and is also a fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her current role involves educational supervision of dental trainees and is the lead for provision of education in the dental and maxillofacial department at East Surrey Hospital. She sits on the panel for Review of Competency Progression for Health Education England, and teaches on the ORE and ISFE examination courses by the Royal College of Surgeons. She is also clinical tutor in Oral Surgery at Kings College London.
She is a speaker at British Dental Association Events and organiser/tutor on an Oral Surgery Simulation course.
Her specialist interests include management of medically compromised and anxious patients. She is particularly adept at putting nervous patients at ease with her friendly nature.
Shrina lives in North London with her husband and four year old little boy. In her spare time she enjoys baking, planning holidays and spinning on her bike!
